Born and raised in Hong Kong.
Wong Man Sze is a passionate 2D animation artist known for her distinctive abstract and sketchy animation styles. She received her B.A. in Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong in 2017. Since then, she has worked in the animation field, applying her skills to TV production, advertisements, music videos, and magazines.
In addition to her commercial work, she has contributed her talents to the local music scene, directing and animating music videos for artists such as more reverb, Alan Kwan (Invisible Architecture) and Terence Lam. Her animations have been screened worldwide, and received a Jury Recommendation at the 26th IFVA and a Special Commendation at London International Animation Festival 2020.
Currently, she is expanding her practice through "Not My First Flipbook", a self-published series of hand-drawn volumes. Through this project, she continues to push the boundaries of the traditional medium of animation and the physical book experience, exploring the tactile joy of movement in its purest form.
